PM to visit Mithamain tomorrow

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit Mithamin in Kishoreganj on Tuesday after more than two decades.

During her stay, she is expected to visit President Abdul Hamid’s ancestral house in Kamalpur of Mithamain, inaugurate a cantonment, and attend a rally, according to people familiar with the matter.

Local MP Rezwan Ahmed Taufiq said the president will reach Mithamain on February 27, a day before the premier’s planned trip there. Rezwan, who is also the eldest son of President Hamid, said during the PM’s visit, she is scheduled to inaugurate the Freedom Fighter Abdul Hamid Cantonment.
