Medical admission tests held

The admission test for MBBS 2023-24 academic year in medical colleges of the country was held on Friday.

The admission test was held simultaneously at 57 venues in 19 centres across the country, including five in Dhaka, where a total of 139,217 applicants took part.

There are a total of 11,122 seats at 108 public and private medical colleges across the country. Of those, some 4,350 seats in 37 public medical colleges while 6,772 seats in 71 private medical colleges.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Zahid Maleque visited an exam centre in Kala Bhavan of Dhaka University in the morning.

In last year, the medical admission test was held on April 1 where 1,43,000 applicants took part.
