DB likely to quiz Sakib, Hero Alam

Cricketer Sakib al Hasan and content creator Hero Alam who participated in the inauguration of Arav Jewellers in Dubai may be questioned for the sake of investigation, said a senior Detective Branch official on Thursday.

“Shakib was informed by police about the murder involving gold shop owner Arav Khan. But why did he go to Dubai? It’s sad”, said DB Chief Mohammad Harun-Or-Rashid.

The chief made the statement while responding to a question from a journalist at his office on Thursday. “Arav Khan alias Rabiul Islam is a murderer. He killed an intelligent police officer. Despite information from the media and others, Sakib and other celebrities went to Dubai in response to a call of a murder accused”, said Harun-Or-Rashid.

He also said that they would take legal steps to bring Rabiul back home after discussion with the senior officials with the help of Interpol. There are 12 warrants against the accused so far, he added.
