Noman Al Mahmud gets AL ticket

Awami League on Saturday nominated Noman Al Mahmud for the by-polls to Chattogram-8 constituency.

AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader revealed this at a press briefing after a meeting of the party's Parliamentary Nomination Board held at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's official Ganabhaban residence here today.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

The Chattogram-8 constituency fell vacant following the death of AL lawmaker Moslem Uddin Ahmed.

The by-election to the Chattogram-8 seat will be held on April 27, 2023.

Noman Al Mahmud is the organising secretary of Chattogram City unit of the AL.
