Call for action against Dr Imtiaz Ahmed

Bangabandhu Parishad on Monday demanded taking legal action against Prof Dr Imtiaz Ahmed for writing false and distorted information in his book about Bangabandhu, War of Liberation and genocide.

In a statement, Acting President of Bangabandhu Parishad Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique and General Secretary Prof ABM Faruq made the demand saying these important issues have been settled at national and academic level and there is no scope of debate over the matters.

They said the defeated forces of 1971 undermine the contribution of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to the War of Liberation and they (anti-liberation forces) placed baseless information about the barbaric atrocities carried out by the Pakistani occupation forces.

They said, Dr Imtiaz Ahmed is working with the defeated forces of 1971 by writing the book with false and baseless information about the settled issues of the country.

In his book, he does not write "Bangabandhu" with the name of Father of the Nation.

The Bangabandhu Parishad condemned and protested unacceptable and ill-motivated intentions of Dr Imtiaz Ahmed, as his book serve the purpose of anti-liberation forces.
