Bangladesh on Friday registered 620 fresh Covid-19 cases and recorded two more deaths in a 24-hour span, while the daily infection rate dropped to 8.36 per cent.
With the new casualty, the death toll reached 29,258.
The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 7,419 samples at 880 laboratories across the country.
On Thursday, the test positivity rate was 9.81 per cent.

Meanwhile, 1,765 patients recovered from the infection over the last 24 hours, pushing the overall recovery to 19,33,259.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
