Bangladesh on Friday recorded 1,685 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours as the daily infection rate drops to 12.18 per cent.
Meanwhile, no one died due to Covid-19-related issues, keeping the tally to 29,135 over the same period.
On Thursday, the positivity rate was 14.32 per cent.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 19,62,213, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 13,850 samples at 880 laboratories across the country.
Meanwhile, 185 patients recovered from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, raising the overall recovery to 19,06,417.

Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
