Bangladesh on Sunday recorded 1,680 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours as the daily infection slightly jumps to 15.66 per cent.
Meanwhile, two died suffering from Covid-19-related issues, raising the tally to 29,140 over the same period.
On Saturday, the positivity rate was 15.07 per cent.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 19,65,173, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 169 patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, raising the overall recovery to 19,06,688.
Health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 10,788 samples at 880 laboratories across the country.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
