Bangladesh on Monday registered six more Covid-related deaths in the last 24 hours and with the new deaths, the death toll reached 29,359.

At the same time, the country recorded 718 fresh Covid-19 cases, while the daily infection slightly rose to 13.58 per cent.

The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 5,288 samples at 881 laboratories across the country.

With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 20,22,408, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Meanwhile, 436 patients recovered from the infection over the last 24 hours, pushing the overall recovery to 19,63,308.

On Sunday, the test positivity rate was 12.96 per cent.

Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
