Bangladesh on Monday registered 601 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, while the daily infection rate drops to 11.60 per cent.
The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 5,179 samples at 881 laboratories across the country.
On Sunday, the test positivity rate was 12.77 per cent.
The country recorded one new Covid-related death in a 24-hour span and that pushes the tally to 29,340.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 20,18,215, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 362 patients recovered from the infection over the last 24 hours and with this the overall recovery rises to 19,60,977.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
