Bangladesh on Thursday registered 38 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, while the daily infection rate slightly increased to 1.22 per cent.
The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 3,123 samples at 883 laboratories across the country.
The country also recorded zero Covid-related death in a 24-hour span, keeping the tally at 29,430.
On Wednesday, the test positivity rate was 1.05 per cent.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 20,36,306, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 266 patients recovered from the infection, pushing the overall recovery to 19,84,390.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
