Bangladesh recorded one Covid-related death and 124 cases in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, the daily infection rate fell slightly to 5.49 per cent as the health authorities tested 2,259 samples at 882 laboratories across the country.
With the new casualty, the overall death toll stood at 29,412.
On Friday, the test positivity rate was 5.87 per cent.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 20,34,002, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Besides, 499 patients recovered from the infection over the last 24 hours, pushing the overall recovery to 19,77,472.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
