Bangladesh on Saturday recorded 939 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, while the daily infection rate declined to 15.59 per cent.
The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 6,024 samples at 880 laboratories across the country.
On Friday, the test positivity rate was 16.82 per cent.
The country also recorded three more Covid-related deaths in a 24-hour span, taking the tally to 29,198.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 19,89,040, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 837 patients recovered from the infection over the last 24 hours, pushing the overall recovery to 19,12,204.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
