Bangladesh reported 737 fresh cases in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, while the daily positivity rate was 15.42 per cent.
After adding the new cases, the total caseload rises to 2,023,145, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
At the same time, the country registered one more Covid-related death and with the new number, total fatalities rise to 29,360.
Meanwhile, 411 recovered from the deadly infection, and that pushes the tally to 1,963,719.
The daily case test positivity rate rose from Monday’s 13.58 per cent as 4,781 samples were tested at 881 laboratories.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28 last year and daily fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
