Another 1,034 patients were hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning.

Of the new patients, 589 were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 445 outside it, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 3,492 dengue patients are now being treated at hospitals across the country, including 2,286 in the capital.

On Saturday, one more death from the mosquito-borne disease was reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 113 in Bangladesh this year.

The Directorate has recorded 31,063 dengue cases and 27,458 recoveries so far this year.
