Five dengue patients died while 888 patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the past 24 hours on Thursday.
"As many as 475 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city and 413 patients were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka during the past 24 hours," said a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
"A total of 192 people died from dengue between January 1 and November 10. The first death from dengue was reported on June 21, this year," the daily data of the DGHS shows.
With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients this year rose to 46,486 while some 43,046 patients were released from the hospitals.
