Health Bondhu, a digital healthcare aggregator platform, on Thursday organised free vision testing and treatment at the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) training institute, marking the World Sight Day 2022.

In the first phase, vision awareness workshops are conducted for drivers, mechanics, officers and employees of the company and in the next phase vision tests and counselling services are provided, said a press release.

The event was presided over by BRTC Training Institute Deputy Manager Abu Awal, and Apex Bangladesh Chief Program Coordinator Monirul Islam Monir was present as the chief guest.

The District Governor-01 Apxn Kabir Ahmed, National Treasurer Mahbubur Rahman Bhiddut, District Secretary of District-02 Nafis Khan and Health Bondhu Limited Co-founder and CEO Md Rajikul Hasan were present as special guests.

“Health Bondhu will take an initiative to provide vision examination and medical services to 10,000 drivers in the workshop. One of the causes of road accidents is driver's vision defect, anxiety, lack of sleep and we are planning to provide mental health counselling along with vision test," Health Bondhu Limited CEO Rajikul said.

BRTC BGM & Unit Head Naeeb Ali appreciated this great initiative of Health Bondhu and the activities of free vision screening test campaign.
