Tamil Nadu government has imposed a night curfew from Thursday and enforced a complete lockdown on Sundays to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 cases.

Night curfew will be in place from 10:00pm to 5:00am, Indian media reported.

All busses, trains, metros will operate at 50 per cent occupancy, according to the latest guidelines issued by the Nadu government.

Pongal festival celebrations organised by both government and private organisations have been postponed.

Places of worship will be closed for the public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Amusement parks will remain closed.
