Digital Hospital has recently come up with a new initiative in collaboration with USAID and Save the Children to introduce a new programme for readymade garments (RMG) workers to ensure access to specialised healthcare advice.

Under the 2nd phase 200,000 RMG workers will be able to access Specialist doctor consultations with Dermatologist, Psychologist, Gynaecologist, Medicine Specialist and Paediatrician, completely free of charge as many times as they want, a press release said on Sunday.

Furthermore, Covid-19 awareness and knowledge enhancement support will also be provided to the medical staff at RMG factories.

The first phase of this initiative served 150,000 RMG workers and slum dwellers of Dhaka.

“We believe through this initiative, we will be able to have a positive impact in the lives many RMG workers, who are such a crucial part of the economy. Belonging to impoverished backgrounds and having access to quality healthcare services will significantly improve their and their families’ lives at the same time,” said Andrew Smith, CCO of Digital Hospital.
