PHP Family Chairman Sufi Mohamed Mizanur Rahman has announced that a permanent fund will be established to assist with the medical expenses of the members of Chattogram Press Club (CPC).
Additionally, he has assured that one club member will receive support from the PHP Family to perform Hajj every year.
The PHP Family founder made these announcements during a courtesy meeting with the CPC leaders at the club in the port city on Saturday afternoon. During the visit, Sufi Mizanur Rahman also discussed various ongoing issues.
Sufi Mizanur Rahman said that the relationship between the PHP Family and the CPC was long-standing one and will continue in the future. He also urged the journalists to organise workshops to inspire ethical practices.
Earlier, CPC President Salahuddin Md Reza and General Secretary Debdulal Bhowmik had welcomed Sufi Mizanur Rahman upon his arrival.
CPC Treasurer Rashed Mahmud, Senior Journalist Forum Convener Mainuddin Qaderi Shawkat, Chattogram City Corporation Panel Mayor Councillor Gias Uddin, Councillor Abul Hasanat Md Belal, Daily Amader Shomoy Senior Reporter Mohammad Mohiuddin, Kalbela Bureau Chief Saidul Islam, Protidiner Bangladesh Staff Reporter Subal Barua and ATN Bangla Cameraperson Md Farid Uddin were present at the meeting.
