In Bangladesh, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, rights, and mental health (SRMH) issues are some of the major challenges due to societal taboos & stigma.
To address these challenges, CMED Health has developed a Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine called "SuSastho.AI" to make healthcare accessible at one's fingertips, reads a press release.
CMED Health plans to implement this solution — which provides real-time clinically validated answers to queries on adolescent health — using the “Susastho” app to support the honourable prime minister's vision of “Smart Healthcare for Smart Bangladesh”.
The AI engine SuSastho.AI is a multi-layered platform for SRMH education, screening, referral, and data analytics which can be used on the web, Android, and iOS devices.
Combined with Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) & Text to Speech (TTS) technology, it will provide access to information on SRMH issues, risk assessment & pathways to care for adolescents. It functions as a medically trained chatbot which educates users identifies problems, and assesses risks.
It also connects users to appropriate healthcare providers, offering telemedicine and specialized care when needed.
In future, this platform will provide actionable insights for policymakers to understand healthcare needs & allocate resources effectively.
