The World Health Organization (WHO) has assured Bangladesh of providing adequate booster dose vaccines, and also necessary technical support for establishing a vaccine plant in the country.
WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made the assurance to Bangladesh Health Minister Zahid Maleque during a meeting at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on Thursday, read a press release.
The meeting put emphasis on the importance of ensuring an environment for health workers to receive good healthcare.
Besides, ensuring adequate training for them, job security, allowances and other benefits were also discussed.
Zahid requested Tedros to visit Bangladesh, while the WHO chief agreed to visit the country soon.
