A writ petition has been filed seeking 30 days closure of all educational institutions due to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases.
Supreme Court lawyer Yunis Ali Akanda filed the petition on Wednesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, Education Minister Dipu Moni said that if the infection rate increases in the coming days then they have to think of going back to online classes.
The minister also said that the government has been monitoring the situation. Within two or three days, they will sit for discussions with National Technical Advisory Committee.
