BRAC is planning to install at least 600 Covid-19 testing kiosks across Bangladesh to help in accelerating the process of sample collection.
The booths will take only five minutes to collect sample which will then be sent to laboratory.
The initiative will be operated under the supervision of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), officials said.
The Department for International Development (DFID) based in United Kingdom is sponsoring the programme through Directorate General of Health Services.
Initially, about 100 walk-in testing kiosks will be installed across 19 areas marked as coronavirus hotspots, including Dhaka and Narayanganj. Of them, 45 booths will be installed in Dhaka.
