The Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives on Thursday allocated Tk 30.63 crore for the city corporations and the municipalities across the country to fight coronavirus and dengue.
“Sixteen city corporations will receive Tk 16.50 crore while 328 municipalities Tk 14.13 crore to prevent coronavirus and dengue,” said a handout from the Ministry.
Amid the worsening situation of coronavirus pandemic in the country, there is another possibility of dengue outbreak during the upcoming monsoon.
Bangladesh has so far reported 18,863 coronavirus cases and 283 deaths.
