Eskayef Pharmaceuticals, one of the leading drug manufacturing companies of the country, has received the go ahead from the Drug Administration for marketing their produced, potential coronavirus drug, Remdesivir.
Immediately after recieving the permission, the company on Sunday supplied the potential coronavirus drug to 13 local hospitals.
Maj Gen Mahbubur Rahman, the director general of the drug administration confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd earlier on the 21st on this month handed over the first batch of Remdesivir to the health directorate and said it will continue supplying the drug to government healthcare facilities for free.
