Food distributed among poor people in Khulna

Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Ismail Hossain distributed foodstuffs among 467 distressed people in order to mitigate their sufferings caused by the Covid-pandemic.

The humanitarian assistance include seven kgs rice, 500 grams of pulses, two kgs of potatoes, 500 grams of oil and one soap.

Two hundred jobless shop employees, 100 construction workers, 27 people with disabilities, 32 shoemakers, 50 decorator labourers, 50 day labourers and eight maid servants were provided with the assistance.

Khulna deputy commissioner Moniruzzaman Talukder chaired the

programme while Additional deputy commissioner Md Yousup Ali, additional commissioner Md Sadekur Rahman, director of Joint Directorate of

Labour Md Mizanur Rahman, General Secretary of Khulna City Awami League (AL) MDA Babul Rana, President

of Khulna Press Club SM Zahid Hossain, President of Journalists Union Md Mahbub Alam Sohag, among others, were present.
