Bangladesh Army distributed foodstuffs in a function on Saturday among 150 poor people of Ward No-18 and Ward No-20 of Rangpur metropolis.
As per direction of the Army Headquarters, 9 Engineer Battalion of 66 Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army distributed the food items among the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic to stand beside them.

by the health directives of the government in the wake of the Covid-19
pandemic.
Each of the beneficiary people received four kgs of rice, two kgs of flour, one kg of pulse, half of a litre of edible oil and one piece of soap as gifts.
Before distributing the relief goods, second-in command (2iC) of 9 Engineer Battalion Major H M Mehdi Hasan Aziz briefly discussed the maximum necessity of maintaining the Covid-19 protocol to remain safe during the pandemic period.
He also discussed the nature and severity of Covid-19 and called upon everyone to maintain physical distance, abide by the health directives and hygiene rules, wear masks and stay at homes for preventing community spread of the deadly virus.
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bangladesh Army continues providing humanitarian assistance to the poor across Rangpur division strictly abiding by the health directives alongside operating patrolling to strictly enforce the lockdown.
