Reconstruction of 178 rural infrastructures going on

Reconstruction work of 178 rural infrastructures is going on in full swing in 13 upazilas of Mymensingh district spending TK 8 crore.

Department of Relief and Rehabilitation is implementing the development work in the rural areas of the upazilas under the Rural Infrastructure Reconstruction Project during 2020- 2021 fiscal year.

The project includes reconstruction of rural roads, field development of educational institutions, clubs and development of graveyards in all 13 upazilas of the district.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Office (DRRO) sources told BSS that of the total 178 projects, 14 are in Haluaghat upazila, 10 in Dhobaura, one in Phulpur, 6 in Tarakanda, 17 in Gouripur, 19 in Mymensingh Sadar, 31 in Muktagachha, 9 in Phulbaria, 12 in Trishal, 22 in Ishwarganj, 18 in Nandail, 15 in Gafargaon and 21 in Bhaluka upazila.

DRRO Sanwar Hossen said projects were implemented under the supervision of the concerned officials of the upazila parishads.
