A total of 30 homeless and landless families of Sadullapur upazila in Gaibandha district got semi pucca houses as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina under the second phase of Ashrayan-2 project in the Mujib Year.
Upazila chairman Shahriar Khan Biplob and UNO Rokhsana Begum formally handed over the houses to the beneficiary families at a function on Wednesday as the chief and special guest respectively.
The houses were constructed at Naldanga Barrack of the upazila at the direct supervision and management of Bangladesh Army under Ashrayan Project-2 of Prime Minister Office (PMO).
They said the government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken plans to construct semi pucca houses on khas land for the poor people.
