Primary school teacher of Narail Manju Rani Paul was adorned with the prestigious best content developer for virtual teaching in the country as she started taking classes online during the ongoing educational institutions’ closure due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Manju Rani, a Gobra Government Primary School teacher of Sadar upazila, began online classes in such a tough time when the current coronavirus situation forced the government to shut all educational institutions and keep those off limits to the students.
She is taking classes through 10 online pages including ‘Nij Bidhyalay’, ‘Ghore Boshe Shikhi’, Narail Online Primary School’, ‘Bangladesh Alokita Prathamik Shikkhak’ and ‘Digital Online Primary School Narail’.
Manju Rani’s such innovative effort in teaching method made her selected as the best one of the country in fortnightly ‘best content developer’ category by A2i-conducted ‘Shikkhak Batayan’ portal.
A2i announced her name as the best content developer on July 31 last. The ‘Shikkhak Batayan’ (www.teachers.gov.bd) is one of the biggest web portals on education in the country and the world as well. It is also a popular portal in teaching digitally.
Manju Rani joined the teaching profession at the government primary school in 2010. She has successfully completed CINED in 2011, B. Ed in 2015 and M. Ed in 2019.
She said, “I work on ‘Shikkhak Batayan’ with patience, affection and cordiality. The teachers, who are working on the ‘Shikkhak Batayan’ round the clock, can feel the joy of becoming the best one. I enjoy my work and would do the same job in future also. The achievement is my biggest success in my job life.”
She extended her thanks and gratitude to her school head, pedagogic writer, colleagues and those who encouraged her and gave advice.
She said the achievement will give confidence to work more in the future.
Nanda Das, one of her colleagues, said she (Manju) takes classes with excellent presentation. She introduces new topics in every class which attract the attention of the students, she added.
She said Manju takes classes in easiest ways which help students understand the topic smoothly.
Gobra Government Primary School Head Teacher Swapna Rani Biswas said the way of teaching of Manju Rani is so classy and she takes classes with utmost sincerity and devotion. The students also enjoy her classes, she added.
Nasima Khan and Arpi Roy, students of class V of the school, said, “We, all the students, enjoy her classes”.
The ‘Shikkhak Batayan’ plays pioneer role in implementing the Vision-2021 of the government, ensuring enjoyable and fruitful education, increasing student participation in multimedia classrooms, creating quality education opportunities for all and ensuring integrated and quality education.
