Seven traders fined in Rangpur

Five mobile courts initiated by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 with the assistance of the district administrations fined seven traders Taka 1.12 lakh in five districts of Rangpur division on Thursday.

"The courts led by Executive Magistrates fined the traders for producing, possessing and marketing illegal and fake products," said a press release issued on Friday by Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed.

The mobile courts fined two traders Tk 35,000 in Rangpur, one trader Tk 5,000 in Kurigram, one trader Tk 30,000 in Dinajpur, one trader Tk 2,000 in Nilphamari and two traders Tk 40,000 in Gaibandha districts of the Rangpur division.
