95 mosques get financial assistance in Mymensingh

A total of 95 mosques of Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh district received Tk 9.5 lakh as special financial assistance.

State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid handed over the cheques among the Mosque committees at a simple function held at Chechua Dakhil Madrasha premises here yesterday evening.

Each mosque received Tk 10,000.

Besides, the state minister inaugurated the newly constructed two- storied academic building of Chechua Government Primary School in Dulla union of the upazila.

The academic building was built at a cost of Tk 78 lakh under the project titled ‘Need Based Infrastructure Development of Govt. Primary Schools’ by the Local Government Engineering Department.

Khalid said the government has been working round the clock for the development of the education sector. The government has given importance on construction of academic buildings from primary level to higher levels to improve educational atmosphere as well as to extend facilities for the students to run their educational activities.
