2,585 farmers get incentives

The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) on Saturday distributed agricultural incentives among 2,585 small and marginal farmers of Sadar upazila under the agricultural incentive and rehabilitation program of the district here this morning.

Solaiman Haque Joardar, MP, of Chuadanga-1 constituency distributed the incentives as the chief guest at a function held on the Sadar upazila parishad premises in the morning.

Haji Ali Azgar Togar, MP, of Chuadanga-2 was present as the special guest.

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shamim Bhuiyan, Upazila Agriculture Officer Talha Jubayer Masroor, Vice- Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Garib Rouhani Masum, Women Vice-Chairman Shahajadi Mili, Freedom Fighter Commander Abu Hossain, Mozahidul Islam Joarddar, among others, were present on the occasion.

Each farmer was given 2-kg F-1 hybrid seed, 20-kg DAP fertilizer and 10 -kg MOP fertilizer for maize cultivation. 20-kg seeds, 10-kg DAP fertilizer and 10-kg MOP fertilizer have been provided for wheat cultivation.

One kg seeds, 10-kg DAP fertilizer, 10-kg MOP fertilizer have been provided for mustard cultivation and onion cultivation one kg seed, 10-kg DOP fertilizer, 10-kg MOP fertilizer for onion cultivation, 5-kg seeds, 10-kg DAP fertilizer and 10-kg MOP fertilizer have been provided for lentil cultivation.
