BGB, BSF hold commander-level meeting

A meeting between Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) sector commander level was held at Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur district on Tuesday afternoon.

The meeting was held at Hili ICP BGB company headquarters.

BGB Dinajpur sector commander Col Khandaker Golam Mohiuddin led the BGB team while BSF north Bengal additional director general Rabi Gandhi led the BSF team.

BGB 20 Battalion Commander Lt Col Rafiqul Islam welcomed the BSF delegation with flowers when they reached at the Zero Line.

After the meeting, sector commander Khandaker Golam Mohiuddin told media, “The friendly relationship has prevailed between the two bordering force of the two countries. The meeting was held aiming to develop the relationship.”

Apart from this, how to prevent bordering crimes like smuggling, women and children trafficking, drugs smuggling, were also discussed in the meeting”, he added.
