The Hi-Tech Park will contribute significantly to hardware and software development. It will help earn foreign currencies by exporting the products developed locally by the promising youths.

Later, the Minister distributed laptops among 54 freelancers of the district.

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority [BHTPA] under the ICT Division with the assistance of the Indian Government has been implementing the project work worth around Tk 170 crore on 10 acres of land in the Khalishakuri area of the city. The project work is expected to be completed within two years.
