Training on freelancing held in Gaibandha

A day-long training on Freelancing Affairs Capacity Building for the young men and young women was held at the hall room of Kazi Azhar Ali Model High School of Saghata upazila in the district on Wednesday.

Upazila Parishad arranged the function with the help of the Upazila Governance and Development Project funded by the Local Government Division of the government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

Upazila chairman Zahangir Kabir addressed the inaugural function and inaugurated it as the chief guest.

Vice-chairman of the Upazila Parishad Shahidul Islam Biplob, upazila secondary education officer Azizar Rahman, upazila information and communication Technology officer Md Quamruzzaman and upazila academic supervisor Siddiqur Rahman, among others, were present at the occasion.

The trainees were imparted training on graphic design, web design and development and digital marketing during the period, said an official. The speakers in their speeches urged the participants to use the knowledge acquired from the training in freelancing activity to earn money from abroad through outsourcing to change their lots economically and strengthen the country’s economy.
