Footballer Ankhi Khatun receives land deed in Sirajganj

Sirajganj Deputy Commissioner handed over a non-agricultural land settlement deed on behalf of the Prime Minister to the family of footballer Ankhi Khatun, in recognition of her contribution at the national level.

Ankhi Khatun was the best player in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under 15 Women’s Football Championship and a Golden Boot winner.

The land settlement was handed over under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sirajganj Dr Faruk Ahmed at the Officer’s Club at 11 am on Saturday.

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Chairman of the Isabella Foundation Kabir Bin Anwar handed over the documents to Ankhi Khatun’s family as the chief guest.

District Local Government Secretary Mohammad Tofazzal Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Md Monir Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md Mobarak Hossain, Shahjadpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Tariqul Islam, Shahjadpur Assistant Commissioner (Land) Liaquat Sikder, President of Sirajganj Press Club Helal Ahmed, Chairman of Shahjadpur Upazila Parishad Freedomfighter Professor Azad Rahman, General Secretary of Shahjadpur Sports Association Sunam were present as special guests among others.
