Missing journalist found dead in Kushtia

Police have recovered the body of a local journalist from a bridge in Tebaria village of Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia.

The deceased was known as Hasibur Rahman Rubel, 31, general secretary of Kushtia District Reporters Club. He was also local correspondent of the Daily Kustiar Khobor and the Daily Amader Notun Somoy.

The victim went missing five days ago in Kustia.

Sources said, on Sunday , responding to a phone call, Hasibur came out of his newspaper office at Singer Mor in Kushtia town around 9pm.

Since then, he remains traceless and his mobile phone remains switched off. Later, the dead body was found on Thursday noon.
