A large number of holidaymakers of all ages have been rushing to the recreational, entertainment and tourist spots in Rangpur division since the Eid-ul-Azha day afternoon to enjoy the holy occasion of festivity.
Local sources said tens of hundreds of enthusiastic people, particularly couples, adolescents and youths, wearing colorful dresses are visiting entertaining places turning those overcrowded, maintaining the festive Eid atmosphere on the third day since the Eid day.
After more than a two-year gap due to the Covid-19 pandemic, entertaining, recreational and tourist spots are witnessing a huge rush of people to enjoy the happiness of the holy Eid-ul-Azha festivity.
In Rangpur city, people are thronging Rangpur Amusement Park and Zoo, Surovi Uddyan, Chikley Lake Water Park, Proyas’ Entertainment Park, Fantasy Zone, Tajhat Zamindar Bari, Rupkotha Theme Park, Town Hall premises, Zila School ground, Begum Rokeya University campus and other recreational spots for entertainment.
Many people are rushing to recreational spots like Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge in Gangachara, Teesta Road Bridge in Kawnia, Neelamborer Jalmahal, Vinnojogot and Ananda Nagar in Pirganj, Maya Bhuban and Bharardaho Beel in Badarganj, Ali Baba Theme Park in Pirgachha, Teesta Barrage Canal and other areas in Rangpur.
Besides, people are rushing to the Teesta Park on the Teesta river bank in Kawnia upazila and Bridge Bites restaurant on the Teesta riverbank at the northern Kakina end of the Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge in Gangachara upazila in Rangpur.
Similarly, many people are thronging Shopnopuri Artificial Amusement Park, Kantzeu Mandir, Ramsagar, Dinajpur Rajbari and ‘Gore Shahid Eidgah Maidan in Dinajpur, Neelsagar and Teesta Barrage Project in Nilphamari, Bhitargarh Maharaja Dighee, Tentulia Dak Banglo, Mahananda riverbank, Kazi and Kazi Tea Estate and Banglabandha Land Port in Panchagarh, Sheikh Hasina Dharla Bridge and Dharla Bridge in Kurigram, Tin-Bigha Corridor, Burimari Zero Point and Sheikh Rasel Shishu Park in Lalmonirhat and other places of tourists’ attraction in Rangpur division.
All recreational places across have been worn new looks and amusement flavour to attract more visitors amid admirable security measures.
Hundreds of teenage boys and girls, students, youths and children with parents are gathering at these places where temporary fairs, different amusement rides for children and shops have been set up to sell different handcrafts, foods and toys.
Shool students Aminur, Mohsin, Julekha, Noor Jahan and Sarmita said they were excited to enjoy the beauty and magnificence of nature there despite the hot and humid weather on Monday.
College students Morselina, Happy and Golam Hossain and university students Nayan Tara, Nasima and Zahidur said they enjoyed playing on rides and travelling by speed boats on the water park at the Chikley Lake Water Park in Rangpur city.
Adolescents Dolly Khatun and Sharmin Akhter at ‘Proyas’ Entertainment Park in Rangpur city said they were excited with their friends to enjoy the natural beauty and recreational facilities there.
Young businessman Shahidul Haque on the Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge at Mohipur Ghat on the juncture of Rangpur and Lalmonirhat district, said he came there with family members to see the bridge, river and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Housewives Hosne Ara, Mouli Islam, Lamia Jahan and Aklima Hossain while visiting the Teesta Road Bridge at Kawnia upazila in Rangpur with their husbands and children said they enjoyed loveliness and natural beauty around the river and bridge there.
Couple Aminur Rahman and Hasna Rahman said they visited Rangpur Amusement Park and Zoo and enjoyed riding on ‘Nagordola’ with their son Masum and daughter Luna observing various animals and birds there.
