Kurigram celebrates National Fisheries Week

A press conference was organised in Kurigram on Saturday on the occasion of National Fisheries Week 2022 with the theme “Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh, a country full of safe fish”.

District Administration and the District Fisheries Directorate organised the conference in the Fisheries Department offices. District Fisheries Officer Kalipad Roy read a written statement. Sadar Upazila Fishery Officer Ismat Ara, a prominent farm Manager Samsuzzaman, and journalists from both print and electronic media of the district were present at the conference.

The officials informed in the press conference that Fishery Week will be celebrated in the district through various programmes for 7 days from July 23.

In this week-long celebration, various programmes will be held including the release of fish fry, discussions with fishermen, intensive advice on fish farming, distribution of fish fry.
