Sherpur municipality announces budget for FY23

Sherpur municipality announced a budget of Tk 59.37 crore for FY2022-23 with the aim of building a modern municipality and increasing the quality of public services.

Municipality Mayor Alhaj Jane Alam Khoka announced the budget at a function organised at Zilla Parishad Auditorium in Ulipurpara of the city on Saturday noon.

Tk 59.37 crore has been estimated as income from the private sector and government grants. These include government grants, development assistance grants, municipal governance and services project, water supply, drainage and waste management, and climate change trust fund. The estimated amount of income has been budgeted for the various development programs.

Alhaj Habibur Rahman, MP spoke as the chief guest in the budget session.

The former general secretary of upzilla Awami League Ahsan Habib Ambia, KM Mahbubar Rahman Harez, Alhaj Munsi Saiful Bari Dablu were present among others as special guest.
