Preparatory meeting held to mark National Mourning Day in Gopalganj

A preparatory meeting at the initiative of the Gopalganj district administration was held on Tuesday to mark the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the Architect of Independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day 2022 on August 15.

The district administration chalked out daylong programmes marking the day at a preparatory meeting held in Gopalganj Tuesday morning with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shahida Sultana in the chair.

In order to observe the day with due dignity, the mausoleum complex of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and its surrounding areas are being prepared for the highest security measures, safe communication system, safe food and water system, clean, adequate lighting system, keeping helipad ready and Qurankhwani will be provided.

Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddika, District Awami League General Secretary Mahabub Ali Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Most. Nazmun Nahar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) AKM Hedayetul Islam, Gopalganj Municipality Mayor Sheikh Rakib Hossain, Tungipara Municipality Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul, heads of all government departments of the district, all Upazila Nirbahi Officers, among other, were present.
