Three killed in lightning strike

Three members of a family were killed by lightning strike while collecting water lily in a canal next to their house at Tongibari upazila in Munshiganj.

The incident took place around 1pm on Saturday. The deceased were known as Rabiul Hasan, 16, Lamim ,12, and Sanjida ,9. They are brothers and sisters.

ASM Ferdous, on duty doctor of the emergency department of Munshiganj General Hospital, said, “The three people had died before they were brought to the hospital.”
