Chapainawabganj district administration brings out a colorful rally in the town marking National Youth Day – Dablu Kumar Ghosh

The National Youth Day-2022 was observed across the country on Tuesday with the aim of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

This year’s theme of the day is ‘Proshikkhito Jubo Unnato Desh, Bangabandhu’r Bangladesh.’

Marking the day, Narail district administration and the Department of Youth Development (DYD) chalked out elaborate programmes in the district.

On the occasion, a colorful rally was brought out from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises which paraded the important streets in the city and ended at the same place in the morning.

Later, a discussion was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Habibur Rahman addressed the function as the chief guest with Deputy Director of Youth Development Matiar Rahman in the chair.

Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Nahid Parvez and President of Narail Press Club Enamul Kabir Tuku, among others, spoke on the occasion.

On the occasion, crests, certificates and cheques were distributed among the trained youths of the district.

Later, a discussion was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in the morning.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Toufiq-E-Leahi Chowdhury addressed the function as the chief guest with Deputy Director of Youth Development Department Md. Abed Shah in the chair.

# Rajshahi District Administration and Department of Youth Development (DYD) jointly organised a discussion at the office conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) to mark the National Youth Day-2022.

Commissioner of Rajshahi Division GSM Zafarullah addressed the discussion as the chief guest with DC Abdul Jalil in the chair.

Prof Rabiul Islam from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, City unit vice-president of Bangladesh Awami League Shaheen Akhter Rainy and Deputy Director of DYD Golam Mahbub also spoke on the occasion.

The speakers laid emphasis on transformation of youth into worthy citizens through giving quality education alongside developing a sense of patriotism.

Commissioner Zafarullah stressed the need for building the youths as skilled workforce through imparting them with different vocational training.

He viewed that many youths become derailed due to lack of proper care and nursing and ultimately they became a burden to society.

The Chief Guest urged the youths to extend their whole-hearted cooperation to the law enforcement agencies to protect the young generation from drug abuse.

The National Youth Day was observed in Manikganj  through various programmes under the auspices of the District Youth Affairs Office.
