The Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) will distribute 277 agricultural equipment among the farmers of Bhola at subsidised rates.
The grassroots farmers will get the machinery at 70 per cent subsidy in district under DAE so that they can boost farm-outputs through reducing production cost, reports BSS.
Recently, the agricultural equipments have already started to be provided in various upazilas of the district.
Among distributed equipments are- 117 combined harvester machines, 28 bed planters, 3 power sprayers, 64 seeders, 42 thresher machines, 11 rice transplanters, 9 reapers and 3 madsellers machine., Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) official sources said.
Deputy Director of District Department Agriculture Extension (DAE) Md Hasan Waresul Kabir told BSS that mechanisation is an important tool for profitable and competitive agriculture and the need for mechanisation is increasing fast with the decrease of draft power.
Farmers are very happy to get the equipment.
