50 physically challenged people get blankets, cash in Rangpur

Blankets and cash money as grants were distributed among 50 clod-hit disabled and visually impaired people in a function held at the Public Library hall room here on Saturday afternoon.

Rangpur divisional branch of Doors for Inclusive Society Bangladesh (DISBD), a non profitable non-governmental organization, distributed the blankets and grants to mitigate sufferings of the helpless physically challenged people.

President of DISBD Shah Md Fardoush Alam Tamal distributed the blankets and financial assistance in the function as the chief guest.

Rangpur divisional branch Co-convener of DISBD Murad Chowdhury presided over the function moderated by its Main-convener Shibbabu Das.

Eminent cultural personality and physician of Rangpur Dr. Mofizul Islam Maantu, noted literary personality, researcher and educationist Professor Mohammad Shah Alam, music producer at Rangpur Kendra of Bangladesh Betar Md Ahsan Habib Haramain were present as special guests.

Later, a cultural program was performed on the occasion.
