RAKUB gets new deputy managing director

Muhammad Saiful Alam has joined Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) as its Deputy Managing Director (DMD) recently.

Earlier, he served as the DMD of Janata Bank Limited (JBL). He has been serving at the JBL since his promotion to the post on November 17, said a RAKUB press release on Saturday.

During his 34-year-long banking career since 1988, he worked as General Manager, Divisional Head and Manager of different branches of Janata Bank Limited.

Muhammad Saiful Alam obtained B.Com (Hons) and M.Com in Accounting from the University of Chittagong.

He travelled to many countries like the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Italy, Indonesia and Switzerland to take part in various training programmes, seminars and workshops on banking enriching his knowledge.

He was born in a respected Muslim family at Luxinarayanpur village under Begumganj upazila in the Noakhali district.

He is blessed with one son and a daughter, the release added.
