18 women get Joyeeta awards in Rajshahi, Barishal
10 women in Barishal get Joyeeta awards this year – Al Mamun

A total of 18 women were given Joyeeta awards in in Rajshahi and Barishal as recognition of attaining their success in different fields.

The receptions were given on Friday to the successful women in five respective categories like economics, education and employment, successful mother, prevention of repression and social development sectors in a function.

Each of them was given certificates, crests and reception-gifts.

In Rajshahi, District administration and the Department of Women Affairs jointly arranged the reception-giving ceremony under the programme of ‘Joyeeta Searching Bangladesh’ at the conference hall of Human Resource Development Training Center (HRDTC) to mark the ‘Begum Rokeya Day’ 2022 in Rajshahi city.

With Deputy Director of Local Government Division Shahana Akhter Jahan in the chair, former state minister Prof Zinatunnesa Talukder, social worker Shaheen Akhter Rainy, Prof Tanzima Johra Habib from Rajshahi University and local unit chairman of Jatiya Mohila Sangstha Morjina Parveen addressed the ceremony.

Deputy Director of the Department of Women Affairs Shobnob Shirin welcomed the participants.

 Prof Zinatunnesa Talukder said the government has taken various initiatives to create a women-friendly atmosphere in the country so that they can play an important role for the country’s socioeconomic development.

In Barishal, on the occasion Begum Rokeya Day celebrations with the slogan of ‘Sheikh Hasina’s message of equality between women and men’, 10 women were awarded the best award.
