Two killed over Brazil-Croatia match

Two people were killed by an opponent over the Brazil-Croatia match in Bagerhat district and Savar on Friday night.

Our Khulna correspondent said a young man was stabbed to death by an opponent over the Brazil-Croatia match at Morelganj in Bagerhat district. The dead was Tutul Haulder, son of Abdul Barek Hawladar, a resident of Gulshikhali village under Nishanbaria union of the upazila.

According to locals, at the end of the match, a young man named Babul Hawladar stabbed Tutul with a knife due to an argument at Gulshikhali village, leaving Tutul seriously injured. Later, Tutul was rescued and taken to Morelganj Upazila Health Complex where he was declared dead by the on-duty doctor.

Morelganj Police Station officer-in-charge Md Saidur Rahman said legal steps were being under process in this regard.

A young man named Hasan ,20, was stabbed to death in Dogormora area of Savar by an opponent over the Brazil-Croatia match on Friday night, reports our Savar correspondent.
